STUDENTS
&
YOUNG ADULTS

Are you looking for a church to call your home for the next few years while you study in Aberdeen?

If you already know Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, we want to help you grow in your love for God through His word.  We want to equip you to handle God’s word faithfully and to share it with others.  We don’t want you to stay in a student bubble, but be a part of our church family.

If you're new to church or Christianity and unsure where you stand, we'd love to get to know you and help you explore any questions you have.

HOW CAN I CONNECT?

There are lots of ways to connect with Bon Accord as a student. Many of our students take advantage of them all!

Student Hospitality

We are a very hospitable church, and lots of invitations go on behind the scenes. We also organise bigger lunches for students or the whole church in the downstairs hall once every few months, as well as regular opportunities for families and individuals to host students, and older students to host younger students as well.

Youth Fellowship (YF)

YFs are a chance for students to learn and discuss together with other students, as well as to eat and hang out.  We cover loads of topics ranging from sexuality and gender to biblical and systematic theology.  We typically meet every other Sunday night after the evening service in the downstairs hall and occasionally in someone’s home.

Weekend Away

Our weekend away is a big highlight of the year! It's a fantastic opportunity to take time out to hear teaching from the Bible, discuss together and be equipped to live faithfully for Christ where we are. We normally stay in the Windmill Christian Centre in Arbroath and it’s always a fun and friendly time together.

Guys and Girls’ Bible Study

This is an opportunity for guys and girls to meet in different groups to study the Bible, talk and pray together. Both the guys and the girls meet every 1st and 3rd Thursday night in the church building.

Life Groups

Everyone connected with Bon Accord will be connected with a Life Group, including the students! Committing to meeting with your Life Group regularly is a great opportunity to become more settled in the life of the church, and get to know a cross-section of the church family. While we want to provide age-and-stage specific teaching and discipleship for students, we also want students to belong to the church as a family of all ages and stages.

Find out more on our Life Groups page.

If you would like any more information on any of the activities mentioned
please get in touch with our student worker
