This session the Youth Fellowship at Bon Accord enjoyed a study on the theme of Mission, which was rounded off by David MacPherson, who led a discussion on how we as students can be involved in mission, both locally in Aberdeen and further afield. We thank God for giving us the opportunity to study the Bible, the times of fellowship together, good numbers of people at the meetings and the speakers. We also would like to especially thank Sandy & Margaret Smith for all the pizza, hot chocolate and other food they have provided us with, as well as allowing us to invade their home! Please remember to pray for the students over the summer, in all the different activities we are involved in, and also for new students coming to Aberdeen in September, as well as those who have finished their courses. Next term we will be starting off with an “introductory” theme looking at more practical issues for students when they have just arrived (or may have been here before) at university. The dates we have got planned so far are: • 20th September – The importance of church when you are away from home • 27th September – Student life • 4th October – Money, work, jobs and studying • 11th October – Questions to a panel about topics from the past three weeks
After the introduction we’ll be going on to look at some of the issues which some churches have different views on, which will also tie in with the weekend away in December (more details in the September newsletter). As always, more information about the upcoming dates and general YF information can be found at our webpage: www.bafreechurch.org.uk/yf. If you have any comments or suggestions for the committee you can e-mail us on
